Who makes a better HO Train Set Atlas or Bachmann?
Hi i am trying to find out who makes a better Ho train set. Right now i am looking at Atlas's Trainman train set and Bachmann's golden spike santa fe set. I am really into the freight sets. If you have any other suggestions please add them. Thanks
I've been model-railroading since 1974, and would GREATLY recommend Atlas over Bachmann for the equipment and track QUALITY.
While Bachmann is the "biggest" in SET sales... Atlas is the US standard for TRACK, and I have three dozen of their freight cars, and ONE dozen of their DCC equipped locomotives.

Another FUN thing to do once you've bought a set... is to design layouts: plotting realistic operations !!
