should i get a student load to buy a car?
Im currently attending college in los angeles and i really need a car cuz its a bitch to get around LA on the bus. Im just planing to buy a cheap used car that will last me 3-4 years. I know college students shouldnt jump into credit so i dont know wat to do.
should i get a student load to buy a car, are there some negative consequences for doing this, will this mess me up in the future?
You are probably going to have to get a private student loan in order to even have the money in hand to get a car. Private student loans are usually pretty easy to get (or at least they were until recently I guess), but they have really high interest rates. On the other hand, government student loans are paid directly to the school so you don't even get to see that money. My advice, get a car loan to buy a car. Student loans are for school, not cars.
