Questions about Microsoft Train Simulator?
Hi engineers and train enthusiasts. I posted this question in Video Games but I figured there might be some good answers here as well. So I've been a pilot and flight simulator enthusiast for years now and am thoroughly aware of how sophisticated they can get, and now I want to try the controls of a train for awhile. I've looked at some videos on youtube. Are there add on trains you can get for MSTS that are more complex and realistic than the MSTS default trains? (Like there are for Flight Simulator). Can you actually walk into the engine room and start the engine? Can you walk into the head end unit and start that? Can you set and release the hand brake? Is the scenery accurate as you drive across the country? Should I wait until Train Simulator 2 is out before buying my first train simulator?

I'm a MSFS guy myself. I bought MSTS a couple of years ago and I thought it was incredibly boring. I'll mail it to you if you want. That's just me though.
