2008 civic... 3000 miles and a laundry list of problems... anyone else?
I bought a 2008 Civic LX about 3 months ago (about 2800 miles on it now).
Over the past month or two I have noticed a lot of wierd problems with this particular one. (When I bought mine we also got another one, identical except for color, for the wifey and I have been comparing to hers - nearly identical mileage).
Decreased performance - pressing on the accelerator doesn't have much perk to it
Spongey brakes - sometimes I am depressing the pedal 3/4 of the way before it even starts to really decelerate.
Steering - doesn't really power back to center too much and has a larger than usual dead spot at center.
Doesn't really hug corners too well
Driving on a perfectly flat road exhibits some suspension movement (maybe tire out of balance?) - I mostly feel it in the accelerator pedal?
Her car exhibits NONE of these issues and they both travel nearly the exactly same roads, conditions, etc.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to take it in soon but I almost feel jipped!
Go see Honda & bring the grocery list with spell it out for them just as you did here. One thing you might wan't to think about .... & I'm not saying that this is the case but men usally drive a litte different than women & are typicaly harder on cars. Good luck.
